I’m Esenathi, a proud native of the Transkei, with a deep connection to both the natural world and the isiXhosa language. With a background in marine sciences and over four years of experience tutoring isiXhosa, I bring a unique perspective to our educational services.
My journey began in the scenic Transkei, where my love for the isiXhosa language and culture was nurtured. While my academic career in marine sciences has provided me with a profound understanding of the natural world, my dedication to tutoring isiXhosa has remained a constant passion. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching students and professionals alike, helping them to master isiXhosa while bridging cultural and linguistic gaps.

XHOSA TUTOR
I’m Esenathi, a passionate educator and the driving force behind our isiXhosa language tutoring program. My journey with isiXhosa began in high school, where I not only excelled academically but also shone in public speaking competitions, earning the admiration of my teachers and the pride of my family. My father’s deep appreciation for the language has shaped my own love for it, inspiring me to share its beauty with others.
Professionally, I’m an Ichthyologist, but my true passion lies in teaching. Since 2014, I’ve dedicated myself to tutoring, with a specific focus on isiXhosa since 2018. I have had the privilege of working with diverse learners, from CEOs to young children, tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. My extensive experience allows me to create engaging and effective lessons that empower healthcare workers, professionals, and students alike.

I am a qualified and passionate educator who is driven by making a difference in society and changing lives. The joy I have when I make a difference to a student academically inspires me and makes me proud.
Personally, I enjoy working with people, especially tutoring. I remember in 2018, I was tutoring 3 Grade 12 students who had obtained level 2 and 1 in Maths and Physical Sciences respectively in Grade 11. Unbelievably, 2 of those students passed Grade 12/Matric with level 4 and 6 respectively in those subjects. We all could not believe the amount of improvement that took place within a short space of time.

I am a dedicated and experienced Maths and Physics teacher with a deep commitment to student success and development. My career has been centered in less-advantaged schools within townships, where I have consistently achieved exceptional results and significantly impacted students’ academic progress. I hold a BSc in Chemistry and Geology from the University of Cape Town and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Physics and Natural Sciences from Wits University. My teaching record is distinguished by notable achievements: an 86% pass rate with 6 distinctions in my first year, an 80% pass rate with 12 distinctions in my second year, and an impressive 94% pass rate with 14 distinctions in my third year. Specializing in Mathematics and Physical Sciences, I believe that every student has the potential to excel. My teaching approach is designed to enhance understanding, efficiency, application, and confidence at all levels. Driven by a passion for teaching and a background in science, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals and unlock their full potential.
